If you normally live in Wales you may be entitled to further support from the Welsh Assembly Government (eg the Assembly Learning Grant or Financial Contingency Funds).

A good source of information can be found at the Student Finance Wales website www.studentfinancewales.co.uk. This is a Welsh Assembly Government led service that provides financial support to students who normally live in Wales. You can also access a range of information relating to student finance by using the Student Finance Wales Contact Centre (SFWCC) on 0845 602 8845.

More information about tuition charges is on our main student finance page.

Financial incentives for studying through the medium of Welsh

By studying subjects though the medium of Welsh you may be entitled to additional funding from your course provider. There are also two specific sponsorship schemes offering £1500 and a chance to gain work experience as you study at university. These are currently available for those studying subjects relating to the Environment and Law through the medium of Welsh.

For further information regarding welsh medium higher education sponsorship schemes and/or additional payments, contact the Centre for Welsh Medium Higher Education on 0844 800 7375 or email gwybodaeth@mantais.ac.uk. Visit the website at www.mantais.ac.uk.
