The Tariff point allocation of a qualification will be reviewed if the qualification has changed substantially.
Some qualifications enter the UCAS Tariff when they are still relatively new. Consequently there may be only limited amounts of candidate evidence available at the time of the work of the Expert Group. In such cases, decisions are reviewed when more evidence becomes available.
Following the introduction of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) in 2008, UCAS has been asked by some awarding organisations to consider QCF qualifications that have been created to replace predecessor National Qualifications Framework (NQF) qualifications. In cases where there is little or no change between the two versions of a qualification, UCAS will transfer the existing Tariff point allocation to the new qualification.
