Sports Leaders UK Higher Sports Leaders Award and Level 3 Certificate in Higher Sports Leadership
Summary

The aim of the Level 3 Certificate in Higher Sports Leadership is to build on the skills and experience that candidates have gained from completing the Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership. It provides additional skills and experience for those wanting to deliver sport and recreational activities to a variety of community groups such as older people, children and people with disabilities. The syllabus also includes a detailed understanding and delivery of sports leadership, leading sessions to improve fitness and experience of planning and delivering a sporting event.

The Level 3 Certificate in Higher Sports Leadership (QCF) replaces the Level 3 Award in Higher Sports Leadership.

Tariff entry The Sports Leaders UK Higher Sports Leaders Award qualification was first considered for UCAS Tariff points in February 2007. The points came into effect for entry to higher education from 2009 entry. The Level 3 Certificate in Higher Sports Leadership (QCF) was introduced in 2010 and was given the same number of Tariff points as the Award.
