Sports Leaders UK Higher Sports Leaders Award
Summary The aim of this qualification is build on the skills and experience that candidates have gained from completing the Award in Community Sports Leadership. It provides additional skills and experience for those wanting to deliver sport and recreational activities to a variety of community groups such as older people, children and people with disabilities. The syllabus also includes a detailed understanding of health and fitness, a first aid qualification, a national governing body award and experience of planning and delivering a sporting event.
Tariff entry The qualification was first considered for UCAS Tariff points in February 2007. The points came into effect for entry to higher education from 2009 entry.
