Arts Award (Gold) - also known as TCL Level 3 Certificate in the Arts (QCF)
Summary This qualification aims to support and recognise young people's development in the arts. By recognising a wide range of arts and cultural activity students experience a range of arts activities as participant and audience member, research the careers of artists and act as an arts apprentice to a professional arts leader.

This qualification is comprised of two mandatory units:
  • Personal arts development - including four areas of arts engagement.
  • Arts project leadership - researching, planning, running and reviewing an arts project.
Tariff entry The qualification was first considered for UCAS Tariff points in April 2010. The points come into effect for entry to higher education from 2011 entry.
