at the heart of connecting people to higher education

Why are there two searches available?

To further enhance our service during the application cycle, we have made it easier for you to find which courses have vacancies.

Publicly funded universities and colleges are required by the government to limit the number of students they accept who normally reside in the UK or the EU. However, there are no such restrictions placed on applicants living outside of the UK or EU. This means that certain courses after their application deadline may only be available to international students, and this enhancement to the service will ensure you search only for those courses with vacancies relevant to your particular situation.

Some courses in the Course Search for international applicants may only have a limited number of vacancies for international fee paying applicants, and some nursing and health-related courses require you to be eligible for an NHS bursary. You should always check availability and your eligibility with the university or college you are considering.

Click on the appropriate search link - home and EU on the left of the screen, international on the right - which will take you to the detailed Course Search.

If you are unsure whether your status is home & EU or international, you should consult the UKCISA website at www.ukcisa.org.uk or the university in which you are interested.
