Notes
For admission to Oxford, it is necessary to be accepted by a College or Permanent Private Hall (PPH). The Undergraduate Prospectus, containing information about individual subjects and Colleges / PPHs, is available online; or alternatively paper copies may be requested through schools and colleges or directly from the Undergraduate Admissions Office (telephone: 01865 288000; email: undergraduate.admissions@admin.ox.ac.uk).
To apply to Oxford you must submit your UCAS application to UCAS between 1 September and 15 October. In the Choices section of the application make one entry to represent your application to Oxford and use the university code O33. Applicants may not name Oxford and Cambridge in the same year (unless applying as a graduate applicant).
Under Campus Code on the application, select the appropriate campus code (a single letter or number) to denote your choice of College or Permanent Private Hall. Applications may be submitted without a nominated College or PPH by using campus code 9. This will result in your application being allocated by the university to a particular College. All Colleges and PPHs admit undergraduates of either gender and of any age except those denoted M (men only) or Mat (mature students only). Applicants should consult the university admissions website (www.admissions.ox.ac.uk) to make sure that their proposed course of study is available at their chosen College or PPH.
Candidates wishing to apply to Blackfriars, St Stephen's House or Wycliffe Hall should select campus code P. You should then enter under Further Details on their UCAS application the three letter code of your chosen Permanent Private Hall as follows: BKF (Blackfriars); SSH (St Stephen's House); WYC (Wycliffe Hall).
All applicants should note that their proposed course of study may require them to take a test in early November and/or submit samples of written work to the College / PPH considering their application. Full information on requirements for each course is available on the university admissions website (www.admissions.ox.ac.uk).
Supplementary application forms are needed for Choral and Organ Scholarships and Accelerated Medicine (A101). Relevant application forms and deadlines for these categories of applicants will all be available on the university admissions website (www.admissions.ox.ac.uk) in due course.
