Notes

Durham is a collegiate University. If you are accepted on to a programme in one of our academic departments, you will also be accepted as a member of one of our colleges. All University accommodation is based in one of our colleges and every Durham University student belongs to their college for the entirety of their degree programme and beyond, whether they live in college or elsewhere. Our colleges offer a vibrant, supportive community full of opportunities to socialise, make friends and develop new and existing skills.
If you are applying to a programme based in Durham City or Queen's Campus, Stockton, you may name one college as your preference. If that college is unable to consider you, your application will then be passed to another college within the same pool. Further information is available on our website.
Enter the campus code of your preferred college, as shown in the table below, under 'Campus Code'. You cannot name one of the colleges based at the Queen's Campus, Stockton, as your preference if you are applying for a programme based in Durham City. Likewise you cannot name one of the colleges based in Durham City as your preference if you are applying for a programme based in Queen's Campus, Stockton. If you have no preference for a particular college, write O for Durham City programmes or S for Queen's Campus, Stockton.
