Notes

Birkbeck is a world-class research and teaching institution and London's only specialist provider of evening higher education. Located in central London at the heart of the University of London campus in Bloomsbury, Birkbeck provides the highest quality teaching by academics who are experts in their fields. Full-time postgraduate degrees have been offered for some time and, starting in autumn 2010, Birkbeck will also admit full-time undergraduate students. Three full-time courses are offered in Law, Psychology and Philosophy.
Birkbeck also welcomes applications from mature students and each will be assessed on its merits. If you are 21 years of age or over we may waive the requirement for formal qualifications and will make our own assessment of your skills and knowledge. You may also be required to complete an admissions entry test.
Unfortunately, Birkbeck does not have any halls of residence or university owned accommodation for its students as the majority are already living or working in London. If you do require accommodation whilst studying with us the University of London Housing Services (ULHS) are available to advise Birkbeck students on renting in the private sector. Information can be found at http://housing.london.ac.uk
