Understanding web-link and an introduction to Course Collect

What does the session cover?

The workshop helps HE staff to gain a better understanding of the course and applicant data systems UCAS uses. We'll take you through the key principles of applicant data, running reports, and the latest policies and procedures. We'll explain how course and institution data is provided and subsequently used for publications and the UCAS website.

Training begins with an overview of web-link and Course Collect, identifying the relationship between the UCAS systems and processes.

We will focus on applicant information, the information you have access to, and where can you find it. We will also look at the practical aspects of decision-processing, including different ways of making offers.

Following this, the Professional Development Team will be joined by a member of the Data Collection Team to explore how institutions set up, update and manage course information and data using Course Collect.

Who should attend?

The day is designed for staff working in admissions with responsibility for managing applicant data, processing decisions or updating course and institution data. Whether you are new to your job or would just benefit from a refresher, this workshop will help.

The workshop is FREE and runs from 09:45 to 13:00.
