at the heart of connecting people to higher education

UCAS application systems and cycles

Overview

This workshop will provide a basic understanding of each of the application systems operated by UCAS (UCAS, GTTR, CUKAS and UKPASS) - their calendars and how they work. It will also provide an awareness and basic understanding of the infrastructure, systems and tools that support the administration of these application systems, and the transmission of data between UCAS and HEIs.

Who should attend?

This workshop will be of value to anyone, new or experienced, in HEI recruitment, marketing and admissions, who wish to have a broad understanding of the wider picture of all the application systems that UCAS administrates and how they work.

Learning objectives

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

  • understand the operation and timetables of all the application systems operated by UCAS (UCAS, GTTR, CUKAS and UKPASS)
  • understand the basic processes involved in administration of applications across the full spectrum of UCAS systems.
