What services do we offer to whom?

The Professional Development Team is responsible for the delivery of the following services to staff in HE and FE UCAS member institutions.

Higher and further education

We are responsible for the delivery of:

Continuing Professional Development
A suite of professional development opportunities specifically designed for those supporting the recruitment and admission of applicants into both FE and HE programmes.

Introduction to UCAS
The team also coordinates the free introduction to UCAS sessions run on a monthly basis at UCAS' Cheltenham headquarters.

UCAS systems
Free web-link, Entry Profiles and UKPASS training provided by the Professional Development Team to UCAS members.

UCAS comes to you
Consultancy sessions focused at admissions and recruitment staff on a range of important topics relating to progression into HE.

Who are we?

The team currently consists of a Professional Development Manager and four full-time Professional Development Executives:

  • Professional Development Executives - Tony Charlton, Melissa Harrison, Alan Jones and Mat Welbourn.

We are pleased to offer a variety of training opportunities especially dedicated to international advisers and agents. Details of future workshops may be found in the advisers' section.
