What data does the UCAS Data for HESA transaction provide?

The UCAS Data for HESA transaction provides data that has been captured as part of the UCAS application process and is needed by institutions to complete their HESA Student Record return.

The data is collated into a single transaction and is converted into HESA compliant codes. This information can then be downloaded through web-link, xml-link and odbc-link. You can also download a Flat File from the UCAS sftp Server. For help accessing your information please contact: dqa@ucas.ac.uk

The UCAS Data for HESA transaction is available to all UCAS member institutions at the end of each admissions cycle. The transaction is also provided to HESA in January of the following year for institutions who have signed a data sharing agreement.

The UCAS Data for HESA transaction currently contains the following fields for the HESA Student Record:
