Application processing
Warnings are displayed on the personal statement page of Apply and the declaration includes the wording 'you have confirmed that the information you have given is complete, accurate and all your own work'.
The service checks for 'duplicates' during initial processing and produces a report for scrutiny by the Verification Unit.
Verification Unit
On receipt of the daily report, the Verification Unit checks for duplicates which have not been fully matched. Some applicants may apply in subsequent cycles using a different version of their name. For example, they may inadvertently swap first and family names, add a middle name or enter their date of birth in error. For the first year of the service, the Verification Unit manually set applications to generate an email to you and the applicant, should the application be deemed to be of interest.
Post processing
If emails are undelivered either to the applicant or institution, we will endeavour to alert the party concerned by alternative means. The email addresses from which the communications are sent are also able to receive queries. These will be addressed within our service levels as published.
