Apply
Apply has extensive help and validation facilities, so that checking and coding are not required at UCAS. Applicants are unable to enter a course not present on our courses database.
When applying, applicants have a maximum of five choices. All applications are considered simultaneously. If applicants only want to make a single choice of one course at one institution they pay a reduced fee of £12 for 2013 entry. Applications to more than one course and institution, and applications for Clearing, are £23 for 2013 entry.
Nearly all schools and colleges offer their students the facility of applying electronically through our website using Apply. All the data given, including the personal statement, reference and full qualifications, is available online.
Medicine, dentistry, veterinary science or veterinary medicine
Applicants have a maximum of four choices in any one of these subjects and may use their remaining choice for another subject.
Art and design

All art and design courses recruit through the main UCAS scheme, allowing applicants five simultaneous choices with no order of preference.
The application deadline for art and design courses will be either 15 January or 24 March. Course Search displays for all courses the application deadline selected by the institution offering that course.
What we do when we receive the completed applications
Validity of entries
We cannot check the validity of the applicant's entries, and you should arrange your own checks on fee-payer status and, if necessary, examination results. We continue to be involved in action against fraudulent applications and have issued a code of good practice for use by admissions staff. Please notify our Verification Unit on 01242 544 670 immediately if you become suspicious of a particular applicant.
Data Protection Act 1998
The Data Protection Act 1998 allows an applicant to ask us or you for a copy of all the data we hold about them. You must take care to ensure that your records are stored securely and that reports are not discussed with anyone other than those directly concerned with your admissions process or the referee.
