Special considerations for applicants outside the EU

We recognise that special considerations may apply to applicants outside the EU. We have therefore introduced two processes designed to simplify application. Your UCAS Correspondent will have further details of both procedures.

Student discussion 1. Applicants who require only a single choice and are already qualified may be accepted unconditionally by using a Record of Prior Acceptance. In using this procedure you must be certain that it is in the best interests of applicants to restrict them to one of your courses.

2. Special arrangements apply where:

  • an institution has notified us of partnership arrangements with overseas colleges leading to the award of a UK higher education qualification; and
  • the applicant, after completion of the overseas element, progresses to either a single UCAS institution or one within a consortium arrangement.
