Of the UK institutions listed by UCAS as offering higher education (HE) courses, the vast majority have written and provided a generic statement reflecting their position on accepting the Advanced Diploma as a route onto their undergraduate courses. This includes all of the research-intensive Russell Group and 1994 Group universities, and all of the Million+ and University Alliance universities.
UCAS members have submitted course-level admissions information to UCAS for 2010 admissions. This information includes the acceptability for each Line of Learning and guidance for what Additional and Specialist Learning will be required for application to HE.

H12: Harper Adams University College
Harper Adams University College welcomes and supports the introduction of the new Advanced Diplomas. Advanced Diploma students seeking admission to Harper Adams in 2010 will be considered on equal terms with students with other types of level 3 qualifications. The University College will also prepare further information about any additional or specialist learning which may be required in order to meet course specific entry requirements.
H14: Havering College of Further & Higher Education
Havering College welcomes applications from students with Advanced Diplomas for entry to all its undergraduate programmes. See entry requirements for individual courses for more information.
H18: Hereford College of Arts
The College plans to accept Diplomas as part of its tariff profile.
H24: Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh
Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh welcomes applicants presenting the new 14-19 Diplomas for entry to Undergraduate programmes in relevant subject areas. Certain courses may have specific subject requirements. For more information, please contact our Admissions Office.
H36: University of Hertfordshire
The University of Hertfordshire is looking forward to receiving applications from Advanced Diploma students for courses starting in 2010. The university is active in supporting the development of Diploma courses in the region.
H39: Highbury College
Highbury College will be delivering the new Diplomas and welcomes applications from those students who will hold these qualifications. For more detailed information please contact our Enquiries and Admissions Department 023 9231 3373.
H48: Heythrop College (University of London)
Heythrop College welcomes students studying the new Diploma for applications in 2010. Further detailed entry requirements will be available in the near future.
H49: UHI Millennium Institute
UHI Millennnium Institute welcomes the development of this new qualification and will consider the Advanced Diploma as an acceptable entry requirement. We may ask for specific grades and certain restrictions could apply in some subject areas.
H50: Holborn College
Holborn College welcomes applications from students studying the new Diplomas.
H54: Hopwood Hall College, Middleton/Rochdale, Lancs
We welcome the introduction of the new Advanced Diplomas and will support applications from students who have followed this route. Candidates will need to check with individual departments about their particular subject area to ensure that an appropriate Line of Learning has been followed. Specific Additional Learning options, or in some cases additional qualifications, may be required for courses with subject-specific entry requirements. Entry will start in 2010 and more information on entry qualifications will be published on our website and course information during 2008/09.
H58: Kirklees College (Was Huddersfield Tech College)
Kirklees College considers the Advanced (Level 3) Diplomas as being an equivalent level qualification to A levels and therefore satisfying the general entrance requirements for entry to an undergraduate programme. Specific requirements will depend on the exact program applied for. Specific Additional/Specialized Learning may be required. Please contact the Admissions Team for support as needed.
H60: The University of Huddersfield
The University of Huddersfield welcomes applications from Advanced Diploma students for entry to its undergraduate courses. More detailed information about acceptable subjects for entry to specific courses will be published in our 2010 prospectus, on the university website and within UCAS course search.
H72: The University of Hull
The University of Hull will welcome applications from students studying the Diplomas. Tutors will assess suitability for the programme, as with all applicants, for specific required subject knowledge.
H73: Hull College
Hull College welcomes the development of Diplomas and will consider applicants presenting these qualifications for entry to Foundation Degrees and Honours Degrees in relevant subjects. Certain higher education courses may have specific subject requirements.
H75: Hull York Medical School
The Hull York Medical School welcomes the development of the new Diplomas. Applicants offering the Advanced Diploma (Level 3) and both A level Biology and Chemistry will be considered for entry.
