How to link applications to your centre
If an applicant registered as an individual but should be part of your school, college or organisation, it's now easy to link them to your centre through Apply.
If you accept an applicant, you agree to approve their application, write and attach a reference and send their application to us once all parts of the application are complete.
Applicants can request to be linked to your centre by selecting the Options section in Apply and clicking on 'Link your application to your school, college or organisation'. They then enter your buzzword on the following screen.
To see which applicants have requested to be part of your centre, go to the Link applications to centre section: any applicants will be displayed in Applicants to be part of centre. In this section you either accept or decline their request. If you accept their request, their application will be listed among other applicants linked to your centre in the Default Group. The coordinator will be able to move the applicant into another group if necessary
Provide a reference only
Applicants can now request that you write their reference only. If you accept an applicant, you agree to write and approve their reference. You will be able to view their whole application but you will not be involved in any other part of it.
Applicants can request a reference only by selecting the Options section in Apply and clicking on 'Ask a registered school, college or organisation to write your reference only'. They then enter your buzzword on the following screen.
To see which applicants have requested a reference only from your centre, go to the Link applications to centre section: any applicants will be displayed in Applicants requesting reference only. In this section you either accept or decline their request. If you accept their request, their application will be listed in the References section under Applicants requesting reference only.
If you accept or decline a request in error, please contact our Schools Team who can reset the decision. The applicant will need to put through the request again. Our Schools Team can be contacted on 0845 123 8001 (or 0044 845 123 8001 from outside the UK). Calls from BT landlines will cost no more than 9p per minute. The cost of calls from mobiles and other networks may vary.
