This applicant has wanted to go to a specific university since she attended a summer school there in Year 10. Should I highlight this?
If your school or college is involved in Widening Access or Gifted and Talented Initiatives, it is good to mention these in the reference, and if a student has mentioned her involvement in the personal statement, then feel free to back it up.
However it is not advisable to mention favoured universities or colleges by name, unless it is the only institution a student has applied to.
