Annual Datasets

The Annual datasets provide data on both applications and accepted applicants by qualification (Degree, Foundation degree, HND).These national datasets broken down by country, cover a five year period, and are available across certain key themes: Institution, Subject, Age, Region/Domicile, Qualifications, Ethnicity/Social Class and International. Using these datasets involves downloading the data as an Excel spreadsheet which gives you the opportunity to analyse the data to your own specific requirements.

Applications Digest

The Applications Digest compares the number of applications (main scheme choices) made in specified entry cycles. Figures are reported for each of the universities and colleges who recruit students through UCAS in the current cycle. Each release compares the position at a particular Closing Date with an equivalent point in the previous cycle. Two versions are produced; the first is a simple tabulation that is placed upon the website for the public to view. The second version is in the form of an Excel dataset that contains additional variables (UK and International by Fees category and by Area of permanent residence (APR)) and is placed upon the secure part of the UCAS website; access limited to UCAS members only.

Applicant Figures

Applicant statistics for current entry cycle with comparison for previous cycles.

Clearing Statistics

Immediately following the publication of GCE A level results UCAS publishes a daily tabulation that summarizes the status of Applicants. Broad numbers are reported for applicants who are accepted, with a separate split for Clearing Acceptances, applicants who have Outcomes Pending, applicants who are Eligible for Clearing and applicants who have completely withdrawn from the UCAS scheme. Daily tabulations are posted upon the website commencing A level results day - (Day 0) through until mid September (Day 29).

CUKAS Annual Report

The CUKAS Annual Report system is operated by UCAS on behalf of the Conservatoires UK (CUK), The Annual Report provides information on applications to music programmes. The report provides a useful snapshot of the UK conservatoire sector at the present time.

Data Tables

The UCAS web statistics are a variety of static tables online showing high-level summary information on themes such as age, gender, ethnicity, disability and more.

GTTR Annual Report

The GTTR report provides a breakdown of applicants and accepted applicants, together with their choices and demographic data.

GTTR Applicant Statistics

Reports on Applicants: live applicants (excluding cancelled and withdrawn applicants) by subject; Accepted Applicants by subject. Accepted are run four times a year.

Management Statistics

The Management Statistics output provides the Institutions with a summary of applications made by their applicants. It also shows where and for which courses they applied. The two reports are run at a mid-year point and for the end of year.

MS12

This analysis of the applications is a breakdown of the number of applications for each individual course at an institution, by the choice state. The latter is shown in the columns of the report, and there are rows for home, international and all applications for each course. Institutions order the report through the web-link menu. The reports are produced on 14th and 28th of each month.

Statistical Enquiry Tool

The Statistical Enquiry Tool makes available UK data for all full time applicants at UCAS institutions covering the period 1996 to 2007 entries. This tool allows you to customise the available data to your requirements and can be viewed on the web or downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet.
