Check out UCAStv for all you need to know about your university application

Video guides on UCAStv cover every aspect of the application cycle to make the process easier.

If you are still unsure about how to apply to university, how to go about choosing courses or what to put in your Personal Statement, then help is at hand in the form of UCAStv. You can head there for a range of informative videos that cover everything about applying, from the initial course search to settling in during Freshers' Week.

Beth Hayes, UCAS online experience executive, notes that there is a lot to think about when applying to university. The short videos on UCAStv cover key parts of the process, like how to complete an application or replying to offers, she explains.

"The redesigned site and player allows videos to be embedded and shared via social media, so if someone finds a film useful, they can send it to friends. This way we're getting the right information to the people who need it," Ms Hayes adds.

Each step of the process is covered. There are how-to videos on writing your Personal Statement, entering qualifications, using Track, using Extra, replying to offers, making sense of your offers and many more, including a video on how to apply in Welsh.

Advisers can also make good use of UCAStv to learn some tips that will help their students who are applying to university in 2012. Videos for them cover making offers, preparing for results and a range other topics.

In addition to the how-to guides, there are case studies from people in their first year of study, who offer another perspective on applying to university through UCAS.

If you view a video on UCAStv and are still uncertain about what you should be doing, you can always ask UCAS advisers a question via Facebook or Twitter. Simply head to UCAS Connect, where you can access a range of platforms.

UCAS adviser John Madden explains: "If you have anything you want to ask about making the application or what will happen after it has been sent, you can find lots of valuable advice online at www.ucasconnect.com. From here you can post a question to our dedicated social media advisers on Facebook and Twitter."
